Alex blends 15+ years of training, development, and caregiving experience into a facilitation style that is both practical and deeply human. As the Vice President of Gentog Community Services and Director of Learning & Development at Gentog Adult Day Center in Tigard, Oregon, he is working to reshape how communities understand dementia, caregiving, and intergenerational connection.
Alex is a certified trainer in Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care® (PAC), certified in Evoke Virtual Training, and serves as a facilitator for Oregon Care Partners through the State of Oregon. His training background also includes extensive work in adult learning theory, multiple intelligences, and instructional design.
Alex holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Warner Pacific University in Portland, Oregon. His transition into the senior care space was inspired by firsthand caregiving experiences, and a belief that care can be more compassionate, more inclusive, and more joyful for both care partners and the people they support.
Alex is known for his warmth, humor, and ability to make learning accessible for both professional and family caregivers. Beyond training, he helps develop caregiver support systems, and community events that bring purpose, dignity, and connection to the lives of PLWD (People Living With Dementia), their care partners and their loved ones.
When he’s not working, he loves watching his sons compete in multiple sports, enjoying all things Disney, watching the NFL and NBA and spending time with his family, including his youngest son who attends Gentog’s preschool.
